12 Tips for Diving on Prom Night

I found this article online and i think everybody should read it. It has 12 ways to help keep your love one safe on prom night. Prom is a special night for high school students to celebrate the end of the school year. Students all over the country spend hundreds of dollars − from corsage to tuxedo − to make the evening a special one. Statics show that Car accidents resulting in teenage deaths are the highest during prom weekends, depending on the location, these are the months of March, April and May. "However, accidents can happen any time students are distracted, even for just a few seconds, or because they are wearing clothing that doesn't allow them to move freely. Prom season is a good time to revisit a few easy-to-follow tips to keep this special night safe and accident free"12 Tips for Driving on Prom Night Every Parent and Teen Should Read
For teens:
*Always wear your seat belt and make sure everyone in the car does, too.

* Concentrate and drive defensively. There are likely to be a lot of distracted drivers on the road on prom night.

* Have directions to the dance − even drive by the location during daylight hours − if the prom is not held at your school, so you know where you're going.

* Understand that the average vehicle weighs 3,000 pounds. It may be easy to drive, but it's still a heavy hunk of metal.

* Never allow someone who has been drinking to drive, no matter how confident the driver is about his abilities. It's not worth the risk.

* Remember that tired drivers are dangerous, too. If you're barely awake, you shouldn't be behind the wheel.

* Call home to get a ride. No matter what time it is, parents would rather pick you up than have you drive in a dangerous situation.

* Take your cell phone to prom so you have one in case of emergency.

* Take a spare pair of comfortable shoes with you for driving so you don't have to hit the brakes while wearing unfamiliar high heels or bulky dress shoes.

And for parents:

* Make sure you know where your child is going to be during the dance and at the after-prom parties.

* Don't allow too many prom-goers into one vehicle. (More passengers means more distractions.)

* Consider a limo or an adult driver to chauffeur students − someone who has more experience driving at night and someone who is not hopped up on prom-night adrenaline.

How to Ask... With a T-Shirt and Shapies

The time is finally here, it’s your chance to finally ask that dreamy boy/girl you’ve been staring at all school year long. Whatever the occasion might be the preference dance, homecoming or, prom. Here is a great way to ask your date to the dance.
Supply’s needed for the project: washable marker, permanent marker, a light colored t-shirt that will fit your date and a piece of paper.

Step 1: On the front of the t-shirt write,” Will you go to Prom with me?” with PERMANENT marker.

Step 2: Turn the shirt over, and write your name in PERMANENT marker.

Step 3: Grab your WASHABLE marker and write different names all over the front and back of the t-shirt.

Step 4: Safety pin a note to the tag on the tee, which states the directions, “Too find out which one of us asking you to this special dance, throw this t in the washer and give it a quick rinse. When your wash is finish, you’ll be able to which one of us is asking you.”

Step 5: Include a second set of directions that states, “Now that you know who’s asking you to prom, it’s time for you to decide if you want to go. If your answer’s “YES” wear this t-shirt to school tomorrow.”
***The idea is to have all the washable names wash off, so only your name reminds***

What Should i Order for Prom Dinner?

It's prom night, you're at dinner, what should you order? When it coming to ordering dinner at prom, there may be many questions running through your head. " What should i order? should i order the cheapest thing on the menu? should i tell the waiter to hold the onions? should i ask for a bib?" It would be pretty sad if you ended up wearing your meal instead of eating it on this exciting night. When it comes time to pick out your dinner, don't ever feel intimidated to get what you want. If you're afraid you might end up picking out the most expensive thing on the menu, ask your date what he's going to order. Therefore, this will give you a idea on what price range should stay in. Never order the most expensive thing on the menu, try to stay within a few buck of what your date is ordering.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when your choosing your prom meal.

*Choose a meal that doesn't require you to pick it up with your hands. Go with grill chicken, salmon or a fillet of beef. Any meal that requires you to use a fork and knife is usually a safe bet.

*Try to avoid saucy dishes. Anything with a lot of dressing like a salad or pasta, is actually a "dress mess" on a plate.

*Watch out for those deadly ingredients. Onion and garlic have a tricky way to stay with you all night. Be considerate of your date, make should you bring either gum, mints, or a toothbrush. Fresh breath is always the best breath!!! Especially for prom.

*If you order dessert for prom, try to stay away from all the delicious gooey toppings, ice creams, and shakes. Try to choose something with minimal dripping like cheesecake or a creme brulee. Save all those amazing gooey dessert for the after prom celebration.

*Don't forget the bib. Always ask your waiter for extra napkins, so you can cover your lab, it's not worth the risk of dripping on that beautiful dress. Try to avoid tucking your napkin into the front of your dress, this isn't a cute look for prom. It is also a great idea to carry either a tide to-go pen or shout wipes, just in case you slip.
